This Training of Trainers course is designed for those who support or care for children who have experienced trauma and focuses on trauma-informed nutrition and feeding topics. It is free, self-paced, and entirely online.
The course can be completed in approximately 3-5 hours. It consists of four modules focused on:
- trauma-informed principles,
- nutrition and feeding guidelines,
- trauma-informed approaches,
- and facilitator training skills.
Upon completion of this course, participants will gain access to the Nourished & Thriving Children Toolkit. The toolkit is a complete training program containing 24 training modules and resources. It is designed for trainers to support caregivers and service providers in implementing trauma-informed nutrition and feeding practices. The toolkit has recently been updated to serve a wider audience and is also available in Spanish.
